‘JARMIN GOES DOWN UNDER, SYDNEY DIARY, Part 6, Like Any Good Film, There’s A Sequel!’

DAY 14 (Thursday 8^thFebruary 2018): ‘SYDNEY HARBOUR BRIDGE & OPERA HOUSE RE-VISITED.

As my memory card decided to play ‘silly buggers’ I re-traced my steps in reverse order to photograph the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House.

DAY 15 (Friday 9^thFebruary 2018): ‘FRANK GHERY’S SYDNEY UNIVERSITY BUSINESS SCHOOL BUILDING’,JUBILEE PARK & ANZAC BRIDGE RE-VISITED

Like yesterday, I re-visited some places to take photographs. Frank Ghery’s Sydney University Business School, ‘Jubilee Park’ the ‘ANZAC Bridge’ and ended up at Darlington Harbour, which was worth it because I discovered some interesting places that I missed first-time round.

DAY 16 (Saturday 10^thFebruary 2018): OPERA HOUSE TOUR

My original plan was to go up to the ‘Blue Mountains’ today. However, sleeping in until gone mid-day, I decided this would be pushing things given it is a two hour train journey each way. So I stuck a wash on and headed to the Aldi for some provisions – and brunch en route. Whilst enjoying a rather nice Flat White and cake deal, I decided to book a tour round the Opera House for that afternoon.

I managed to get to my tour on time, but needed to leave my bag in storage for security reasons. Anyhow, I was given a headset to listen to the tour guide. No doubt the guide couldn’t be arsed to speak up. Before we set off, a lady asked – or more to the point instructed – us to have our photographs taken against a blank screen. The tour was very informative, especially from an architectural point of view. The interior was as awe inspiring as the exterior. At the end, we were all given this very nice booklet of our photo superimposed against different parts of the Opera House. Oh yes it would cost me 50 Dollars for the pleasure, so it was a Birkenhead ‘Friendly Goodbye’ on that one!
